Tastebuds

So the pediatrician mentioned that we need to start giving Angel some baby food not meals just yet but more of "tasting" some foods. Earlier in his 4mon I gave him some fresh banana by scrapping the banana with a baby spoon he didn't carr for it so I didn't push it. So Saturday I decided to try again since it was time for him to eat anyways and he smacks his lips when he's hungry so sees us eating I grabbed a banana and a spoon and gave him a taste, at first he made faces and looked away but then once he swallowed it he looked happy he continued to try it and seemed happy about it he'd actually hold my hand while the spoon was in his mouth and would get fussy if I took to long to give him more lol. Now I can't give him to much yet but with time he'll be able to give him more than just tastes;)

my plan for him is to make him foods at home. I'm not against moms that buy baby foods I did that for the girls but I also made them foods at home and so did my inlaws I just really rather start him off more natural. I know I won't be able to make it all the time but if I can 90% of the time I'll be happy;)

4mon physical

Angel had his 4mon physical and daddy took him because I was at work. Angel is 16lbs and 25in long.... Weight wise he's a little big but since he's long it equals out but it's not alot that he's over, last time he was 14 and they said he shouldve been 15 lol weird I know. Per the dr him rolling from hid back to his tummy is advanced ( I guess it's harder than rolling from your tummy to your back) he does try to stand when you hold him which she also mntioned is to soon so she said he might walk sooner than normal and due to him being a little ahead we need to start introducing food to him, but just to taste, this way he can have the proper vitamins for his muscles to get stronger.Oni said he got about 5 shots and 1 in the mouth he said he didn't cry just fussed but the last one was a painful shot so he did cry but daddy grabbed him quick to comfort him and he stopped crying and just sighed heavily:( talk about being a tough little boy! Overall he's right on track:D

When he got home I luckily finished with dinner and was able to hold him. He wasn't fussy at first, he was actually very happy and giggle. He's been skipping naps lately I think he's going to be a little kid that rather play than nap lol Gena was like that but not until she was 1. Through the afternoon he fussed more and more he's also been stuffy so that didn't help him. Daddy took him a warm bath with the vapor bath and let him sit in it so all the mucous can get loose, amazing sometimes after a bath he acts like he napped for hours and is just soooo hyper and happy!! He didn't fall asleep until about 10, he was in his swing laughing and cooing and then boom he passed out. last night he did ok, I did hold him for a while but when I woke up for work I laid him on hid side and he kept sleeping. I hope he gets better soon:(

just wanted to add that akiras been good with him she holds him and helps out, and Gena loves him to pieces, that is a plus for us:)

Busy body

Just a quick update on angel, he's a busy body! He prefers to be on the floor and roll around he can't roll all the way each time but boy oh boy he tries! Even on his swing he tries! He loves being held but he starts grunting and arching hid back when he wants down which means he wants to play with his toys sooo he is put in his bouncer and he's a happy baby pulling on his toys. He now knows that when the phone is pointed to him it's for a picture or video and he will stare at it....O__O

he loves kisses<3 and to sleep on his tummy, he's a handful because we can't do much if he's bored! Lol naps are quick. He will be my little tornado<3 I'm ok with that!

Milestones

Angel has so far done: rolled over said mama loves to sit and watch his surroundings grabs his toes and they go into his mouth sucks his thumb sleeps about 5-7hrs at night BUT loves sleeping on my chest or his tummy.... He loves to giggle and is ticklish:) he will grab my face and give me wet kisses he makes it known it he doesn't want to go to u he'll turn away or will lean towards u for u to hold him, he's Ben a wonderful addition to our family<3 he loves kisses and to snuggle.... He'd 17lbs and fits in 6mon cloths because he's long not because of weight...

Two months

Angel is two months old as of last week<3 he's changed alot ... He's now 12.8lbs loves to giggle and smile he coos when he sees someone he knows.... He follows our voices also:). He hates tummy time! Oh boy he really hates it!!! Lol I still have him do it but I make sure to hold him after to calm him dwn. He has a cold right now... So he's been very fussy :( he has a chest cold so he sounds like a purring kitten and when he coughs or sneezes he goes "ohhh" amazingly he's still a happy baby for the most part! He loves bath time he will sit there and kick his feet in the water it's sooo cute:) he still fits in SOME new born clothing but mainly 0-3mon I'm not sure how long he is he hasn't gotten his shots yet. He seems to have a routine, after waking up in the am around 7 he feeds burps gets a fresh diaper then bouncer.... He seems to look forward to it lol he sees his toys and he just has a giggle fest! He also has a swing which helps alot!! Once he's put in there it has toys on top so he looks at it and then more than 90% of the time he falls asleep:) he seems to love music... If I sing to him or he hears it he just seems mesmerized by it..... He seems to love pushing himself ... If were holding him and sitting down he will push and make his legs stay straight.... Also he doesn't like being held like a new born.... He needs to be looking around or be held looking at ur face chest to chest but not laying down. He will let u know what he wants.... He starts off wth a fuss.... Little by litle he gets louder then BOOM screams! Lol he seems to be warning u it's silly but he knows we won't let him get tooo angry because then he's just done... He's changed alot in his face also I'll post later some updates pics I'll update the post:) txs for cking up on us!

Busy life!

It's been about over a month since I've been able to blog, Angel is growing so quickly:( I've had to stop bf all together an it breaks my heart... I hve tried all I can to produce more milk but all has failed.... He's stopped latching on for longer than 3min so my milk has been very low I have pumped to make more.... Fail... Less than 1/2 ounce.... That's with both sides he becomes very fussy when he's on.... I rather he feed from a bottle and not be fussy than me be selfish:(.... I stopped about a few days ago... I really fight the urge to latch him on because I know 2sec later he'll cry... I dnt regret trying.... It's made me bond more with him and it lasted 6.5wks.... I'm proud that I lasted that long and wish I wouldve tried with my grls. Since I've stopped he now weighs 11.2lbs .... He's gained more weight which I'd good... I am determined though to make him his baby food when he starts eating I spoke to my fil and he is on board with me:)

He still wakes up every 2-3hrs at night.... But when he is up in the morning he's such a happy baby... He smiles coos and starting to giggle more each day:) it's been hard keepin up with the house and so on but I've managed to clean up but not deep clean.... I have alot of help once Oni is home which is awesome.... I love my little family I'll post some pics soon.... The holidays were extra special this year:)

Enough or not still doing it

Ok so I've been hard on about breast feeding, I got a pump in hopes that I can hand Angel to Oni so I can do more at home, well once he nursed I pumped and nada:( I know I'm hard on myself come on I just fed him right? So he only fed on one side so I pumped the opposite one,1/2oz!!! What?! I'm glad I can go to my cousin for advice she's been bf her handsome son since birth and I know I can go to her and shell keep me encouraged, she sent me a link and mentioned she also didn't get much after feedings (I felt better). I read that coffee helps who wouldve thought! I've been avoiding it. In the am I drink oatmeal... And water. I kept trying to pump yesterday and only got 1oz I poured it in a bottle that had formula... Yes he still gets formula, he's gaining slowly so until he's reached a good weight I need to suppliment but he doesn't get it all the time and still bf very well. This am he fell asleep after feeding on one side so I thought I'd pump the other and see what I get... Geez I'm discouraged:( very little! I won't give up even though I wanted to throw my hands up ... I drank more water and oatmeal and coffee.... I read to pump every 45min and it will produce more I'll keep doing what I'm doing and PRAY I make more I feel like he deserves it and I bond more with him:) I'm reading up on it I really want to keep it up.... I'm not drinking as much water ad before so I know I need to change that! I'm still nervous about feeding him in public I do have a cover but he hates when I'm walking during his feedings, he gets fussy I think it's because he moves around and detaches ... I'm wking on it though! Thanks for cking up on us;)
